We moved in on the 9th February. There is still more work to do on the house, but slowly the decks are getting finished and the gerden is being planted.

Seasonal Festivities

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We had a lovely Christmas Day with the in-laws with much food, alcohol and presents. Santa was very kind to both of us. New Years passed at Teresas coctail party and we all had a great time and counted in the New Year in style. We didn't go away for Christmas this year and so we spent a nice relaxing time chilling out, catching up with friends and generally enjoying ourselves.

Here are some pictures of the extterior of the new house. Sorry, but the pictures are not in the right order.

Sorry, no updates for a long time

Hi all and sorry for not posting any updates for ages.

The house is going really well a lot has changed since this picture was taken and hopefully we will download those pictures and add them to this blog.

We have had lots of rain and wind here in Wellington and we now have a water feature by the front door!

The top picture is of some of my friends from the book club I belong to. From L to R is Celia (Fiancee of one of Brendons umpiring buddies), Teresa (our brave and glorious leader) and Jess (Fiancee of Andrew and travel agent par excellance). We have been going for walks on Saturdays around Oriental Bay and stopping at the yummy Gelato shop (Caffe Eis). We have now started Aqua Jogging at the pool so have not had gelato for a while. But the aqua jogging is good fun.

In other news, I went to a cocktail party at Celias and invented two 'new' cocktails. they seemed to taste OK, but then we were quite drunk at the time. Anyway, here are the recipies if anyone wants to try them. The names were decided by the other party goers:

Tropical Cyclone Ange

1 part citrus vodka
1 part cocnut liqueur
2 parts pineapple juice
1 part lemonade

Angelicious

2 parts cranberry juice
1 part cassis
1 part citrus vodka
3/4 part raspberry codrial
1 part brandy
